I am not good at investing in stocks. I was trying to see what is the best option for me to invest without the need for detailed research. I recently came across WealthFront. It is like a broker that manages your finances for you for a minimal free, much less than the normal fee charged by most people and services. For those who joined and funded before April 1, 2018, the first $10,000 is managed for free and very nominal fee above that. Also you don't have to pay for commissions and transactions on the trade placed on your behalf. The money gets invested automatically in stocks, bonds, mutual funds. It is diversified in many respects including geographic diversification. The type of investments depends on the risk level you choose. You can either answer a few questions to define the risk factor or set the value in the risk meter thats in the range of 1 to 10, 10 being highly risk tolerant. With 10, you are asking WealthFront to invest aggressively and 1 being very safe. The profits and loss increase with higher risk. You can withdraw the amount any time. It requires a minimum account balance of $500 to be maintained. If you don't like it, you can close the account any time and withdraw the funds. You may also withdraw partial funds at any time, and Wealthfront will decide on which investments to liquidate based on the amount withdrawn.
